I've already contacted SD directly about this and got a response that if others felt the same they'd be prepared to re-evaluate so thought I'd post online to see if others felt the same.

I think the live PLOG feature on Android looks great and decided to familiarize myself with the new features using XPLANE. 

The route was planned to fly to a VOR and then a VRP. 
The RNav column was visible in the PLOG.

Straight away I noticed 2 issues.   In planning mode the VOR's listed in RNAV and my waypoints are listed on the PLOG but as soon as you hit go flying they disappear because they are out of range. I think if they are important enough to be listed on the PLOG when planning then they should be there when navigating and any VOR as the next waypoint or the next 2 RNav positions should be listed in the radio navigation aids section of the PLOG regardless of range so you can setup your next nav frequencies without having to cancel out of the navigation screen in order to see the original PLOG.

Radio COM is done very differently and no change has been made to that system.
