Ok, we have changed the Live PLOG (in the next version) so that there is both a "Planned" and "Nearby" section for Radio Aids. The first contains all radio aids you have actually planned to route via, or which are present due to the RNav column being used. The second contains radio navaids which are nearby and are NOT in the first list.

Alternatively, they could be labelled "Other Relevant Navaids"

Why not rename the "nearby nav aids" table into "relevant nav aids"? A nav aid is relevant if it is either (a) nearby or (b) was included in the planning stage.

The problem with that approach is that they may well not be nearby.

I quite agree, this is clearly an oversight on our part. The question in, how should "planned" radio aids be merged into the Live PLOG? Do you think they deserve their own section separate from the "Nearby Radio Aids" bit? Into this section would (I imagine) be put those radio aids you had actually included as waypoints or which are included as RNav waypoints because that column is turned on.

I've already contacted SD directly about this and got a response that if others felt the same they'd be prepared to re-evaluate so thought I'd post online to see if others felt the same.

I think the live PLOG feature on Android looks great and decided to familiarize myself with the new features using XPLANE. 

The route was planned to fly to a VOR and then a VRP. 
The RNav column was visible in the PLOG.

Straight away I noticed 2 issues.   In planning mode the VOR's listed in RNAV and my waypoints are listed on the PLOG but as soon as you hit go flying they disappear because they are out of range. I think if they are important enough to be listed on the PLOG when planning then they should be there when navigating and any VOR as the next waypoint or the next 2 RNav positions should be listed in the radio navigation aids section of the PLOG regardless of range so you can setup your next nav frequencies without having to cancel out of the navigation screen in order to see the original PLOG.
