What do you think about changing the present position info:
e.g
9nm E Braganca Airfield

to

9nm E LPBG

Makes radio communication so much easier - no mishearings any more

Mike, everybody should, but they don't. I think the position report actually used to work like this in early versions of SkyDemon but we had to change it because too many people on the other end of the radio (NOT necessarily air traffic controllers) didn't know what the pilot was referring to. I take your point about hard-to-pronounce airfields but that doesn't really help give us a solution.

Simon I believe we've tried that but the position instrument is small and such output often gets cut off.

Still open to further suggestions!

How about have the position report format conform to the selected airfield Display format of the map style?
