Makes radio communication so much easier - no mishearings any more

That would work if everybody on the radio knew all the ICAO codes for all airfields in the area, but that is not the case.

Everybody should know all the ICAO codes in the area because they are printed on the charts, at least the one I use - ICAO code first, real name second - french SIA/german DFS/Czech RLP/Italian Enav/Spanish Aena/Jeppesen VFR - ATC radio is based on using them, so they know all of 'em.

Have you ever tried to give a position report to a czech ATC controller - you don't know how to pronounce that thing - mishearing/misunderstandings etc. - let's use ICAO codes if available.
