As I said in my previous post: with language =Norwegian: i f I enter "2,1" with a comma, the comma is just ignored and the field displays "22".
I tried, as you asked me to, to Copy and Paste and did this sequence: when I enter the Edit Aircraft menu, the Taxi/Takeoff burn field displays the default value "2,1 gal" (with comma as expected). This is obviously treated correctly as 2,1 since it is calculated correctly in the Flight Details fuel breakdown. Now I selected the whole field value "2,1 gal", selected "copy", cleared the field and pasted back the same ting. Believe it or not: the copied value "2,1 gal" is pasted back as "21" with comma gone and "gal" gone.
The Wind instrument main mode: this is the ONLY instrument that displays the function (Wind vector) in the lower half and the value (e. g. 230/15) in the upper half. ALL other instruments, including the Wind instrument Xwind /Head wind mode, displays the function in the upper half and the value in the lower half.

Thank you for the confirmation. We are certainly not changing the string pasted into the text box in any way, so I am mystified as to why your commas might be disappearing. It must be something local, to do with the keyboard or input method being used on your particular device. That isn't to say I am absolving us of responsibility for it; just that it will be difficult to fully debug.
The wind instrument is unique in that both parts (the heading and body) are the value. We are very happy with the body part (which is larger) having the vector. If the vector were in the upper half it would be too small to see.

Thank you for your support. Yes, this comma issue is weared. I can't believe it is the keyboard, since I have tried with two different on-screen keyboards (Samsung original and SwiftKey), as well as with an external bluetooth keyboard. All with the same issue. My tablet is the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 edition running Android 4.3. The same comma issue ALSO on my cell phone Samsung Galaxy Note 1 running Android 4.0.4. Do you have a chance to try this on a Samsung device?

Some more info for you Tim: I am using SkyDemon on two Android devices both with the Swedish language setting. - One Samsung Galaxy S3 smartphone running Android 4.3. - One ASUS Transformer Pad TF700T tablet running Android 4.2.1.The "comma problem" happens with both devices. Both have SkyDemon 3.0.5.18699 installed.
To demonstrate the problem, I've taken the steps below. Except where indicated the behaviour of both devices is exactly the same.
- Started a notes app, entered "2,5", copied to clipboard, pasted back to make sure that the comma was in the clipboard, exited the app.- Started SkyDemon, selected Setup, Aircraft, chose one of the aircraft, Edit aircraft, Taxi/takeoff.- On the ASUS tablet a full keyboard was shown. On the Samsung phone a numeric keypad was shown, with keys for digits 0-9, rubout, ".", "Next" and a cogwheel which takes you to the keyboard settings. So on the Samsung phone there is no key for comma.- Pasted into the input field, giving "25" on both devices.- On the ASUS tablet , pressing comma on the keyboard has no effect. Indeed, none of the character keys (letters etc.) have any effect apart from 0-9 and ".".- Interestingly, you can only enter a single decimal point. If you try to enter a second one the next one will be ignored! (On both devices.)
Intrigued by the inability to enter two decimal points, I also tried copying "2.5" (with a decimal point) and paste it into the input field twice. The result was "2.525" on both devices... So on the second paste the decimal point was ignored -- presumably as there was already one in the input field.
So there is some piece of software somewhere which is trying very hard to stop you from even entering an incorrect number -- only that this piece of software doesn't know that with some language settings a decimal comma should be used rather than a decimal point!

Are you able to briefly test whether the behaviour is correct when you switch to English language? If so, which is the language setting you are using?
In my attempt to reproduce this problem, I went to Settings -> Language & input -> Language and simply changed that one. This is on our test Nexus 7. I am attempting to try it on a Samsung device, but ours is refusing to turn on. I will persevere with it.

This is independent of language setting. In English mode where "." is the valid decimal point, it won't accept ".".
Refer to my reply April 12:

The first thing I did was to check if this issue could be related to decimal point being "," or ".". I normally have my tablet configured in Norwegian language mode expecting "," as decimal point. I then configured it to English language mode expecting "." as decimal point. In both language modes I checked with the original Samsung keyboard that comes with the tablet, and also with SwiftKey that I normally use. I even tried with a bluetooth keyboard. The exact same error in all combinations of language modes and keyboards.

I don't believe it's independent of language setting. We just haven't found the right setting. We have thousands of subscribers using SkyDemon for Android and this thread is the only place I've seen anyone experiencing an issue, and it only seems to be on devices with those locale settings. There must be another setting, or a possible need to reboot the device or something after changing the setting/keyboard, that is leading to this.
