Hi,

as I noted in another thread (Aircraft Profiles) you calculate the Mogas weight by using 0,75kg/l which is wrong. The acceptable Standard for 80/90 Octane Mogas is 0,72 kg/l. This gives a diffrence of some kg in your W/B calculation.

Can you please correct this in a new release ??

thansk

Wikipedia lists the density of automotive fuel between 0.71 - 0.77 kg/l. Avgas is 0.68 - 0.72 kg/l. Higher ethanol content raises the density. Higher grade gasoline also tends to be denser. So it is really up to you what you use. I think 0.75 kg/l is not at all unreasonable.

Re Tim,

in most POH's I have read the Mogas or Avgas specific Gravity used for calculating the W/B is 0.72.

Well, what can I say. It is what it is, whether it's in the POH or not. I think it has legal ramifications, though. When you use the POH value your a** is covered if you use it...whether it's right or not.
