Hi, and thank's to both of you. I followed your advice and shotdown my background apps. However, I shotdown one at the time and finally I found out that if I shotdown my WiFi the Bluetooth GPS device worked as smooth as it was intended. I think the reason is that if you have the "Apple-WiFi" on at the same time as the Bluetooth GPS device, the Mini uses the "Apple-WiFi" as the primary source to search for sattelites for the Location Services; easy to understand when the clue is found!

Yep, I've seen this before on an iPad Mini. Try shutting down some background apps. Then restart your iPad Mini (shutdown & restart, sleep mode won't do it)
Then like magic... everything works again. I suspect it's a bug in the iPad Mini.

Try installing the free GPS Device Data app and see if you get constant location updates with that. If not, you're probably running into an iOS 6 bug regarding Bluetooth GPS dongles.

Hi!

I must be a fool, but I can not have my devices to work properly. I have installed the Bad Elf app into my mini but I can not have my SkyDemon to work while using "Go flying" mode. What have I done wrong? It work quite well at home, but I have come to the conclusion that it is due to my wifi at home; in the airplane I just receive the message "Searching for sattelites". The devices are connected with Bluetooth - but no gps-connection for SkyDemon, why??
