Hi,

I am just planning my trip to Croatia. Slovenia and Croatia really insist on following VFR routes. Unfortunately, even when I have Mapping=>Routes=>VFR routes checked, I don't see VFR routes on the map, only reporting points are visible - I use version 2.7. Please, could anybody help me with switching VFR routes on?

I don't think that VFR routes for these countries are explicitly available. But, as you say, the reporting points defining them are. Why don't you just go from point to point? VFR routes are depicted on Jeppesen's VFR charts as well as on the national charts.

BTW, in my own experience, there always is the possibility to fly off route if you ask nicely. But routes are generally chosen in a rather meaningful way and I found that, many times, they simply make sense to follow.

SkyDemon typically depicts all well-defined VFR routes in Europe.

Hi Tim, do you have plans to add the LSGG and LSZB transit routes in Switzerland?

Nice idea and I support it, at least in principle. But how are they defined? For LSZB TRANSIT SOUTH is at least defined by the radials of FRI and WIL but where does it start/end?. What about TRANSIT NORTH? It is only a line on the map. It might be interesting to ask Skyguide how the define the transit routes.
Some years ago I had a discussion with them about reporting points at LSGS. They refused to tell me the coordinates of the non-mandatory reporting points. That at least has changed.‌

I believe we have spoken to Swiss authorities in the past about these and the routes are not well-defined with coordinates.
