Hi,

I'm just planning a route on my iPad and its telling me TAF & METAR information is not available for Gloucestershire (EGBJ).

However SD planning on my PC is showing this information. Met info for Birmingham and Coventry is showing OK on iPad

The information for EGBJ is available on the Met Office website.

Any suggestions?

Steve T

Are you still seeing a lack of information for this airfield?

Hi Tim,

The Taf & Metar info for Gloucester seems to be intermittent.

Today 09.57 (local) METAR info is being picked up but not the TAF. Both available from the Met Office.

Birmingham & Coventry etc showing both OK

Regards,

Steve T

PS both showing OK on iPad

I told Skydemon this a few weeks ago, was told to reset the Ipad. Nothing happens when I reset, also same results on the Nexus 4, and my other Ipad is the same.

I can also not download my Pooleys plates, Tafs, Metars.

Hope you can sort this out soon.

You have a quite different problem. I'd suggest you contact the SkyDemon folks for support again.

What exactly happens when you try and download a plate?

Thought problem had been solved but just using SD Plan and find that for B'ham Tafs & Metars showing OK, Coventry showing Metar but not Tafs and Gloucester not showing Tafs or Metars. All information available on the Met Office site.

We identified a bug whereby TAF and/or METAR for a specific airfield can stubbornly refuse to download. Fairly rare, but chances are this is what you're running into. We've solved this problem once and for all in SkyDemon 2.7 which is due for release next week.

Is this related to the problems I had with ESCM and ESIB, as reported earlier?

It could very well have been the same problem.
