I found it to be confusing to switch between using Skydemon on a PC and an Android device as the way you access windows, setting and function (e.g. menu hierarchies) are quite different.

On the PC - On the chart window at the bottom you will see various labels, 'Route view' 'Virtual radar' 'TAF decode' etc

Click on 'TAF decode' or 'Metar Decode' and try hovering your cursor over one of the lines of data, you should see what you are looking for. There is probably another way to do it, but that one is simple enough.

I don't use the Android version, I use the mini ipad so I can only tell you how to get what you want on that platform, however it is probably the same. One point to note though, is that the Android version is new, and all the functionality has not yet been included, but will be as time moves on, so some things may not be achievable yet.

IPAD - plan your route - down the right side of screen click >'TAF or Metar' > top left of that side TAF or METAR window click > 'TOOLS' > then click 'Switch to RAW view'

I installed the SD on my Android smart phone and have a similar issue as the one described under point 3)

When I download a plate from AIP, it tells me the file cannot be viewed as there is no pdf reader installed.

This is not true as there is the default pdf reader on my phone and I regularly use it.

I noticed that the file is downloaded in the Download folder of my phone and is called SkyDemonOutput.pdf. When I tap on it from the phone browser, it opens normally.

The simplest thing to do is install the Adobe PDF reader on your android device.

There is currently no way of adjusting the settings for the basic PLOG that is included in SkyDemon for Android. Over time as the PLOG becomes more sophisticated, the options will be exposed.

We don't know why you'd get a menu of PDF readers from one app but not from another. We've seen the menu shown for SkyDemon here; it may depend on the apps you have installed and whether they have registered themselves as handling locally saved PDF files.

I am new to SD. Installed it on a windows8 machine. Worked fine except cant left click mouse pad and move around map (can on radar screen) it looses portions of the map and can only be recovered by zooming in and out again. Irritating.
Had live notams/wind etc.

Then loaded to a nexus10 as my mobile device yesterday. That seems ok. But now the PC wont collect live data saying that my subscription must have expired (not true).
Also cant save a route to cloud and collect on the nexus.

At least one of the problems you describe has been fixed in the latest version. Please upgrade and report back. You may need to log out (from the Setup menu) and log back in again.
