Apologies if this has been covered before, I have looked! Up to now I have been using an iPad 2 WiFi only with an external XGPS150 for SkyDemon. I was happier making sure that I had a good position before launching off! My company have now kindly provided me with a 3G iPad4. I have got used to using the XGPS app to ensure I have an accurate GPS position, but it seems I can't see this data from the internal GPS in the iPad4. AFAIK it could be using either WiFi hotspots, 3g triangulation or GPS but there doesn't seem to be a way of locking it into GPS or knowing what the accuracy is. Is the yellow aircraft symbol enough, or is it possible that it will drop off when you get airborne? Any help/thoughts gratefully received!
