I'm a little unclear as to how the new geo-referenced plates function works, exactly. Do you have to have the paid-for Pooleys or AFE plates? At present, all I can get to work is the original very basic inbuilt plate, with no geo-referencing on the national AIP charts that I normally use. Am I missing something?

I can now answer my own question, having discovered the additional button on the airfield charts. I was looking on the non-referenced approach plates, which is why I could not get this to work initially. As an IMC pilot it's those that I'd like to have available most of all as an aid to instrument approaches, but I appreciate that SD is a VFR product so this is perhaps not a realistic expectation.

I don't suppose it's possible to geo-reference one's own plates, is it? I recall this was possible on the Pocket FMS software I used to use.

I would like that feature too. If not georeferenced as standard, than a little option, to do that by yourself Smile

We've no plans at present to allow user-created georeferencing, that would be something you could post in the Suggestions forum though.

Spruce,

I'm glad you have answered your own question but it hasn't helped me as I still can't find any georeferenced plates. Can you either post an idiot's guide or suggest a georeferenced plate that I can look at please.

Many thanks.

The French plates are a good example of georeferenced plates that you do not need to pay for.

Thanks Tim.

Looked at LFAT, clicked on the yellow ac symbol and hey presto. What a good system. Looking forward to having them for the UK on the Pooleys plates.
