It's probably a NOTAM. Just hover your mouse over the area on a PC, or touch and hold on the screen to bring up its context menu on the iPad. This will allow you to read the NOTAM. SkyDemon draws crosses to indicate the positions of any coordinates mentioned in the NOTAM text.

Could be NOTAMs that expired.

Steve T - I've had another look and you are quite right, there atre two 'large crosses' in the locations you identify.

The reason I didn't see them was because you have to zoom right in for them to be visible.

I have no idea what they are, they are probably not meant to be there, but I'm sure Tim will be able to provide more info when he comes along.

I also tried to attach an image but couldn't.

The two X's appear on the IOW one by Newport and one further West by Freshwater

Just loaded SD and trying to find my way around.

Can anyone tell me what the two grey X symbols mean as found on the Isle of Wight just west of Newport. Have looked through documentation but have been unable to find an explanation.
