I notice a fair bit of "missing data" re airfields  .. mostly RT frequencies.

Examples  .. Husthwaite freq is 118.60, Eddsfield is 134.00, Bagby (which also has an ICAO code of EGTT .. not shown) is 123.25.

Also the location of Husthwaite is not quite correct. Its my home airfield!

Skydemon LAT/LONG as shown on my Garmin 296 is 54o 09.417' 001o 13.900'

The correct data is 54o 10.131' 001o 13.611'

All in Degrees & Mins decimal

Also the PPR phone number is most useful for microlight sites. Better than the runway info. Often such sites require carefull briefing. Our one has major powerlines at one end of the runway!!

I am sure the users can help with such data. Would you like us to notify you of such things?

David

Hello David,

Our data on smaller airfields and strips not in the UK AIP comes from www.flightnav.co.uk, a great resource for airfield information. If you notice any errors or omissions in such data, that's the place to report them. They will update their site and this data will filter through to SkyDemon in the next AIRAC update.

I'm quite sure the ICAO code for that airfield isn't EGTT as this is the code for the London FIR Smile

There is a card on flightnav for Bagby and info looks fine (not checked every detail) and it shows EGNG, PPR No, rt freq. etc

No card there for Husthwaite

Oh, I see what's happening with Bagby. Because it's listed in the AIP under microlighting sites, we include it in our AIP data, which overrides any FlightNav data. And the AIP doesn't list runways/frequencies/ICAO codes for the microlighting sites. At the moment I can't think of anything decent we can do about this, but I'll keep thinking about it.

Hi Tim

Some time ago I added EGLP - Brimpton to Flightnav but it is still not showing within SkyDemon.

The ICAO designator was registered correctly about 18 months ago and published in the AIP.

Can you advise what the new process is for this please ?

Many thanks

Lufty

FlightNav was acquired by SkyDemon a couple of months ago so we should have all the latest data from them. If they hadn't gotten around to updating an airfield with user-submitted info this won't be the case, though.

The process is to contact us directly with any information like this, and somebody will look after the issue.
