Hi all

I am trying to set up Aircraft profile for the Skyranger Swift but cannot get the W&B to work.

Have followed the procedure to the letter and can get the correct polygon. But the polygon is always red and no sign of the cross giving actual figure.

Even tried an offset datum to remove negative figures i.e.aft of datum. I thought the posts on the CTSW would help but still no joy. Can you assist, the aircraft details are as follows:-

CG Datum Mianwheel centreline our aircraft G-CGWT empty weight is 262.5Kg
Classic and Swift – 0.04m forward of Mainwheel axle centreline
Positive is forward of datum
Fuel tank 0.29m AoD (-0.29m), capacity 60 litres
Crew 0.15m FoD, Min 55 kg, max 120kg per seat
Baggage 0.29m AoD (-0.29m), 10kg maximum
Aft CG Limit 0.21m FoD
Fwd CG Limit 0.36m FoD

If we can fix this I will save to the library as this aircraft is very popular.

PS Would love to be able to sync from and to the ipad as I have changed fron a 7" CE divice to ipad mini , SD is superb on this.

Can you post a screenshot of what the polygon looks like? If it looks correct but the w&b calculations always land outside it, perhaps the empty weight or empty CoG is defined incorrectly?

Thanks for quick reply, screen print is not working for me but, the Print Centre W&B page gives the loaded arm as 0.03 Moment 11 it seems as if the base data from the BMAA HADS HM04 sheet is out? If you cannot fix it I will mail Flylight for more information.

Tim,

Panic is over empty weight was at wrong arm. Should be 258Kg at 0,37 from datum.

With this the W&B works fine.

I will tidy all figures then save to cloud.

I'm stumped as to why I can't get my W&B working on my Sky Demon/iPad. I've transfered all the info over from a working excel spreadsheet configured correctly for my AA5B, including loading points and loading envelope. The loading envelope is there within SkyDemon, and looks right. But no loading position appears, and I get an 'overloaded/outside envelop errot message. Any ideas as to what I might be doing wrong?

Perhaps the basic empty weight and CoG is wrong even though the envelope is right?

Hi all sorry no aircraft file attached but the attach selection box will not show on my browser, either IE10 or Firefox.

The Skyranger envelope needs to be as follows:-

0.21,258.0, 0.21,450.0, 0.36,450.0, 0.36,258.0
Ensure that the commas and spaces are as above. And you use your aircraft figures i.e empty weight may not be 258.0Kg
Lever arms Fuel -0.29 Pilot and passenger 0.15, baggage 0.15 Fuel -0.29
