SkyDemon fetches TAF and METAR updates as they are published. It checks at least every 10 minutes, as I recall.

When I'm up flying, SD does update weather info as long as you're online, of course.

As far as I know, SD does not automaticaly check for WX updates. To be sure you have the latest ones, either save route, open an old one and then reopen saved routs --- or save route, close SD and reopen both SD and the saved route.

Can be a bit annoying especialy if you do some planning one evening, leave PC on all night and then sync mobile device next day. Can be very wrong then.

Also take care to set take-off time therwise wind display on mobile is also likely to be wrong - I think.

Forcing a WX update for a route (you can do it for a specific airfield via right click & get weather) is something that has been previously requested.

Sometimes, the TAF METAR are not up to date on SD, as at the same time, I can access to more recent TAF/METAR from the same computer through other means (eg http://www.allmetsat.com/)
