The tower at LFAT have a long history of being 'unable to find your flight plan' (many Flyer forum debates). No one is really sure why this is, however the foolproof method which a number of us now use, seems to be to file the outbound plan via SD and then hand in one of their 'LFAT format' flight plans pre-filled in (you can download one) to the folk behind the desk for your return leg and tootle off for an appropriately expensive lunch in town - this has worked every time! :-)

That addressing is correct. Dozens of such plans go through our systems every day. The French authorities have requested one central address for flightplans departing France, so that they can perform the onward addressing themselves, which they do very well.

If you are uncertain as to whether those authorities have forwarded your plan, just call the tower at your departure airport and check with them that it's come through. It can take an hour for them to do sent it, as I recall, but this varies from country to country.

I don't know if this is just me but........ Smile

Yesterday I filed a plan to LFAT on my iPad and then reversed the route to file the homeward leg. I received both the confirmations via email but what I hadn't noticed was that the addressees were not filled in correctly on the return leg. I have tried this on the web-based system and it appears to do the same thing. At least I can check this on the web-based system before sending but on the iPad I have not found a way of seeing the addressees. Needless to say the controller at LFAT had not received my return plan so I had to sit for a while whilst they searched with Lille!
