There should be no expectation of a reply after submitting a VFR flightplan. You are not asking for permission to do anything, with a normal VFR flightplan.

Hello Mike

SkyDemon kindly replied to you via e-mail, but for the benefit of any lurkers here, this is the answer:

The confirmation text and email from ATLAS Control wereintroduced during the Olympics and are therefore no longer in effect now thatthe temporary restrictions have been lifted.

You should find, however, that you still receive theconfirmation email from us containing your flightplan details. This indicates that your flightplan is in thesystem, and logging into the Flightplan Management section also confirmsthis. Some of our users do like to calltheir departure or destination airfield to double-check there are no problems, however you should find it's not necessary.

Hello

Once I have filed a flightplan (post-atlas) should I expect an e-mail acknowledgement/acceptance message, like we received during the atlas period? Or can I assume that 'no news is good news' and if I hear nothing I am good to go...?
