Hi ive just upgraded to 1.3, and my old setting had it rotate the screen 90 degrees.



It comes up with the new skydemon page, says loading, rotates screen 90 degrees but at top half of screen so i cannot press continue or Exit so can go no further.



Any ideas

Does the device itself have a setting that allows you to rotate the screen? My Loox (Windows Mobile) does, under Start/Settings/Screen. Change that before starting Skydemon and presumably you'll be ok.



Obviously though, it would be helpful if the Exit/Continue buttons showed whatever the orientation!

Regretabbly not, its a generic 5" GPS which doesnt have any setting to do that.

I have exactly the same problem on my 7 Inch GPS,

Almost as if the screen does not resize for portrait mode this used to be the default setting.

Tim has there been some changes in software that would cause this problem if I go back to the old version 1.2 everything works exactly as it should.

I much prefer the option of seeing further ahead than whats 30 miles either side of me.

I think the problem here is certain devices not telling SkyDemon when the screen has been rotated, and therefore allowing SkyDemon to adjust the location of the buttons on the (now-redesigned) welcome screen. This "problem" would not have manifested itself before due to the comparatively simple welcome screen that we had in 1.2.

If one or both of you could contact us, we will provide you with a couple of hotfix builds that should address the problem on your devices.

Hi Tim, ive put the fix on, back up and running, Now ive not dared press the rotate button, will it work or do I need to wait on a different fix for that.



Also can I had the bar on the left like we could before by unselecting alt etc?

The point of the hotfix build I sent was to try something to see if we could get the screen rotation working again. There's not much point in it if you don't try it!

hi tim the rotation didnt exactly work.



I can got in ok, pressed rotate and it rotated the screen 90 degrees to the right bit still only at the top half of the device, bottom half still showing sky demon welcome screen, so I exited out then restarted application this time welcome screen there still able to press continue and this time it rotated left 90 degrees and again was only one half of the screen with the scky demon welcome still at the other end.



But thankfully I was able to at least still press the continue and rotate screen buttons so I can at least have it running landscape.



If you want me to test another hot fix more than ready as I really like it in portrait as it fits in my flight suit pocket then

Same problem here - rotation worked fine on 1.2.

But with 1.3 i can choose portrait, and it flips but then i only see half the image. I changed the settings.xml to select landscape by default but would love to get back into portrait mode as my 7" gps fits nicely on my kneeboard then
