Dear SD,

Last week I have flewn from seppe (The Netherlands) to Head corn (uk). The route i had planned with Skydemon was via dover tot calais and then to headcorn. however, when we where overhead Oostende we diceded to head direct Dover. I tried to put this in my flightplan, but I could't figure it out how to do it. When i pointed my finger at dover and choose: Direct to..it wil show me te way to dover but it deletes the rest of the route as well ( part to Headcorn). When i choose: append to route. It wil leave the route to Calais and Dover in the screen aswell. Is there a simple way to direct to a certainpoint in an already planned route.

Thanks for the reply, it wasn't the final leg, I have had this problem with the 296 before

Great to know that SD would pick up the next leg as you approach it, which, to me ! is logical

seemingly not with Garmin

If you turn early, skydemon will still show you on the D.I. what track you need to get to your turning point, but will pick up your next leg as you approach it and then reflect the correct details for that leg. Alternatively, if the next leg is your final destination you could just do a 'direct to' and head straight to your destination. You can try it out for yourself by putting in a route and then go into the 'go flying' >'start simulator' within skydemon for free by downloading the trial version.

Scenario, as happened today ! I made a turn before reaching a way point, only short by 0.5 mile

my Garmin 296 went ballistic, trying repeatedly to send me back to complete the route

would this happen with SD ? or would it just find the next leg of the route ?
