A couple of weeks ago Shoreham (EGKA) issued a NOTAM regarding a change of frequency for their ATIS from 125.30 to 130.975MHz. This is quite important as their ATC expect inbound aircraft to have the latest ATIS information prior to establishing contact, but no indication of this NOTAM appears when planning a route to EGKA, or routing near (<10 miles) to their zone.
Is it possible the wording of the NOTAM did not include a time frame, in which case Skydemon may only have issued the warning on the day of issue? Or has this been missed by mistake? Either way it would be good if the NOTAM warning could be added to aid those operating in the EGKA area. (I heard two pilots being politely reprimanded yesterday regarding their lack of information re the ATIS)
Thanks
