You must have been using an old chart. Since May all European topographical data including roads, railways, lakes and rivers is current in SkyDemon.

Well, maybe I spoke to soon. I run SD on the iPad (2) and on PC. I did update the charts, but still no luck. But then. probably after a restart of SD, the information is now updated and is now correct and current!

Thanks for sticking with the subject. So to all reading, this is really good news and again I am impressed with the application and now a happy user!

The updates did include the correct rivers. But at this moment, juli 1 2012 (with version 2.4?) the rivers again do not show up on Benelux map. The highway information is still from the 1990's (at least for the Benelux charts). Seeing that SD is developing so many great features, even to the point that I now purchased the application, it is dissapointing that this geograpic information is not updated yet.

The update to our scenery data is now complete, and all highway, railway, urban and water features should be up to date.

The rivers are updated and are now present! Hopefully you can get hold of recent highways, roads and urban areas data and add those as well, because those are also in need of a major update.

Rivers have been overhauled recently and if there are any large rivers missing (in Germany or France), please point them out and I will see if I can comment on them individually. Make sure you have updated your charts first as we posted some updates only this morning.

To bad. It seems these errors are not limited to the Benelux. I also noted old data in the French and German maps. For private pilots flying mainly VFR this information does seem quite relevant, so to have this very old and outdated information is not good. Even main rivers like the river Rhine, Waal and Ijsel are missing.

We are aware that some of the scenery data we use, which includes highway information, is out of date. We're looking at alternative sources of this data but so far have not found one with which we are happy, but we continue to look. We do place a low priority on correctness of basemap highway data, compared with aeronautical data whose correctness is of the highest priority.

When testing SD for PC and iPad, I noticed, that on the Netherlands chart information concerning highways, it seams you have used very old or incorrect data. There are a lot of highways missing or only completed to the point of about 15 to 20 years ago!
