I haven't heard of anything like this happening before, and I don't think there is a problem with the software itself. if the software just quits, check for the presence of a debug.log file on the device in the SkyDemon folder. This log might yield a clue about exactly what is going wrong, and feel free to email it to us.

Thanks for your reply. The program will run as you say for 30 minutes. The GPS is the problem . It finds my position on the chart no problem, but as soon as I start to move the GPS signal is lost, and needs to be switched back on.It finds my new position but again it will be lost as soon as I move. The device works great as a car navigator. Is there a problem with the SD soft ware.

I am thinking of buying the software, but this problem is putting me off at the moment.

I believe the trial software only runs for 30 minutes at a time.



It should display a message to this effect when it closes though I thought?

Hi,

I am running a trial download of SD on my PDA. The PDA runs road mapping software no problem. The GPS when running the SD software keeps switching off, is there a reason for this. Is it just the trial software?
