The latest beta version has a new flight log which records all your flights, so they can be referred to on the device, giving takeoff and landing times duration, speed etc.

It remains on the device regardless of powering down the device. So you can download the beta version or wait for the next release, there are some other very useful additions included as well

This same thing happened with me also shawkins but don't worry because it was not appearing only in statistics menu after a restart but when I synced over to my desktop it started appearing.

Journey logs are stored permanently, but the statistics window was designed to give you the stats on the journey just undertaken and still in memory, hence the details disappearing on power off. The log was still there, though.

I'm using the past tense because in the forthcoming upgrade the statistics window has been totally overhauled. It now provides access to all journey logs stored on the device and any log can be loaded and its statistics examined. Logs are still stored permanently but the statistics window give you the opportunity to delete logs if you wish. You can't recall old breadcrumb trails on the device, but we'll probably add that in the future if it turns out people want to do that.

We'll probably post a beta build of the forthcoming version today.

Thanks.  Is that also true if the battery runs flat?

They are not deleted, they just don't appear in the statistics menu after a restart.

They will still sync over to your desktop version when you get home.

After first using my Skydemon Mobile MD in flight I put it into 'sleep' mode and when I got home I was able to download my flight tracks.  When I later did a full 'power off' I was surprised to find that after powering back on the flight tracks had been deleted from the 'Statistics' menu.  Why is it set up to do that?  Isn't there a way of storing the tracks after powering off?  If I fly away for a weekend I'm going to want to power down my MD to save battery power, but I would also still like to be able to download the track file when I get home.  Can this be changed?

Also, what happens if the battery runs down completely?  Does it go into sleep mode or power off mode? ie will I lose the tracks if I forget to turn the unit off?
