Hello,

Point A.
The graph doesn't allows the various TMAs to be visualized. One large blue aeras for all...☹️
Furthermore, the text is written in reverse order, placing the lowest zone at the top of the list and the highest zone at the bottom.
It would be very simple to sort this list based on the floor values, placing the lowest values at the bottom and the highest values at the top.

Point B.
The graph shows an area that I assume to be an "E" zone between 2500 4500, but it does not appear in the text description. Why ?

Point C.
Furthermore, clicking on the same area yields two representations.
One features a red contrast, while the other is standard blue.
What is the reason for this?

For the Same point, one has a boat at it floor, the second has a tree .

I never noticed any issues with the "What's here" function prior to version 4.3.x.
I would be curious to compare its results with version 4.2, but I no longer have that version.

Does anyone happen to have an old screenshot showing how it was laid out previously?
Thank you 🙂

As has been explained to you in your previous thread, nothing you are talking about has changed for many years.

Hello Tim,
If you give incorrect answers or answers that are unrelated to the question, do not be surprised if no one is satisfied.
I wonder if you even looked at the two images.🙄
You haven't explained anything.
Why is the chart red ?
Why is there a boat instead of a tree ? Did you notice the boat on the ground ??
Why is the result different when clicking in the same place five minutes apart?

I take the time to give you precise feedback, inserting images to support my points and I am disappointed by the way you are responding.

I suggest that the boat/tree thing is due to the terrain mapping granularity and the SD coding logic which would say that if the terrain block is at zero feet elevation and comprises water then display the boat icon on water otherwise a tree icon on land.

You say ‘exactly the same place’, but that isn’t the case. It’s quite difficult to find the exact spot where this effect reveals itself (N4720.42 W00213.11 actually) but it’s only a short section of the charted waterway. Move your finger away a little bit and the elevation is shown as greater than zero with a tree. Hardly something to get stressed about really.

As for the red shading I have no idea. I’m just a user like you but that would appear to be a bug.

As an aside, and as a friendly suggestion from one user to another, you can make the ‘What’s here’ pop-up a lot less crowded by changing the airspace filtering in planning mode on the Mapping menu. By doing that, the 2500’-4500’ block of airspace may have been readily visible as an aerobatics area, not Class E.

Hello Grahamb,
Thank you for answer.
Yes, the area with the boat is at 0 feet, while right next to it, it's at 4 feet! There's a river right beneath the 0-foot point! It's strange.
The red/pink color seems linked to the presence of a Class D CTR or TMA that extends down to the ground. When the surface is water, the color turns pink.
It looks like a bug; I agree with you.
Let's wait for Tim's explanation.

The aerobatics area doesn't appear in the text. If it's on the map, it should be in the text too, right? Today, the aerobatics description appears every time I click, so something was wrong with the previous pictures, but I don't know why.

I use FL125 as the upper limit over the plains and FL160 over the Alps.
Sometimes I fly up to FL100 over the plains, and 14.800 in the Alps.
It's not related to the fact that the aerobatics text description was missing.
Again, perhaps a little bug with that aerobatics aera ?

By the way, as Tim claim's nothing has changed since years.. In this case I'm wondering why the Play Store claim's " The What's Here experience has been redesigned ton present information better".

May we receive more information over what has been redesigned ?
Is the pink color a bug ?
Is the missing aerobatics a bug ?

I can explain the aerobatics area missing from the airspace text list.

In the Mapping options, with ‘Aerial Sports Areas’ toggled off, aerobatics areas will only be shown in the airspace graphical stack. With the option toggled on, the ares will appear in the chart, the airspace text list and the graphical stack. This inconsistency would seem to me to be a bug, but best to let Tim explain whether this behaviour is intentional.

Yes.
I did not change any settings. The description appear's today, but not two days ago. Why ?

And also as said before :

It's frustrating to get new versions you don't need, and are more or less a marketing ploy to make it look like something has been done and it doesn't matter if it's not as good as the previous version 😡
I like SkyDemon and don't need a new story or update each month.
I'm not a Sofa pilot. I like it to have a stable and reliable tool that I can count on in flight.

By competitors, you may sign in to have new functions and new bugs twice a month !🥳
I don't need that 🙂

To be clear, the way What's Here is implemented changed significantly in the 4.3.0 release, for the first time unifying the PC and mobile experiences of this feature, and making the display of items, subitems, frequencies, and other minor display metrics much simpler for us to maintain going forward. This goes for the first-level What's Here screen, of which you have posted several screenshots, and the second-level too, where you can inspect various items in detail.

What has not changed is most of the items you have complained about recently. Nothing about the display of the airspace stack on the left has changed, and nothing about the ordering of items in the list on the right has changed. Nothing about what items are selected for display in the list has changed.

When you complain so vocally about things that have not actually changed, any valid observations you might additionally make get easily lost, especially as this is not a customer support forum, and I do not work in customer support. If you want support, please contact customer support. If you think you have discovered a bug, please contact customer support.

Of course things have changed, but I don't know when.
I suggest to return to this.
Look how clever it was.
The text aligns with the graph... Until someone decided to change it 🙄🙃
