We had a flying club meeting with 120 pilots and made digital checklists a topic.

Though having Checklist in SkyDemon was well received, the way SD works to scroll thru the checklist items in comparison to FF, Smartcheck etc was less superior.

When opening a checklist others allow to tap anywhere in the checklist area are to get to next item. That is much more intuitive and far less distracting (because you don’t have to visually aim for the correct row) than having to tap the exact item, especially in turbulent conditions or in critical phases as T/O.


Pls make this at least an option in the settings.

+ once in a checklist, a swipe left / right to get to the next/previous checklist would also be desired and a quick way to e.g. get from after T/O checklist to Climb checklist

Seriously, you mess about with a phone or tablet when you are taking off?

Im not sure where that question is coming from and how this relates to my request on simplifying the touch point of how to get to the next item.

I do not “mess” with my phone/tablet between start of T/O roll and 500ft AGL. At 500ft I start working thru my after T/O checklist.

I just would like to make the remark, that I think it is much easier (and less distracting ) if we could tab anywhere in the checklist area to get to the next item, instead of having to tab the exact item (which is more distracting, because you have to tab that very item)

Checklists are a pretty niche feature. So far, most of the feedback we have received about their user interface has been positive, with a few people who would prefer them to work a little differently as you suggest. It's unclear how we would change them at this point, given the people who are using them seem broadly happy with them, but as more people discover and use the feature, it's possible we'll get enough feedback to the contrary that we eventually offer a different option.
