Exporting logs into KML for example is very cumbersome, on the Mac/iPad at least.

1) You have to do it 1 by one, cannot select multiple logs to be done at the same time.
2) For each one it is a multi step process involving finding the log, pressing share, pressing save to files, selecting the right location, saving etc.
3) In the iPad/iPhone there is also a bug in this process as if you try and then use the next button to go to the next log it wont allow the share function, just never pulls up the screen. I think it crashes something inside of IOS so you have to go right out of export and back in again to reset it and then it works.
4) On the Mac, you cant even select save to files under share.

The heat map function is ok, a bit of fun, but I like to see my logs in more details, using google earth for example.

Having done this manually several times already I discovered that the format of the exported KML has changed over the years, where timings are included, the start/stop log points, different folder structures etc. I'm sure each are improvements but it means the logs I have are in different formats/inconsistent. I would like to go back and redo the whole lot so that they are all the same, but I have hundreds of flights so no way am I doing that 1 by 1!

The request then is to improve the export function so that all logs can be done at once (via multiple log selection)

Possibly also to select what information is exported, for example I personally dont care about all the individual timings, just want the overall route. Could perhaps introduce a verbose option which includes everything, timings, start stop points and route names for example, and the simple export just the coordinates/altitudes.

And in the interim, please can you fix the bug which crashes the save to files function on the iPad, and add this to the Mac version!

Searching the forum before posting this I do see that several people in the past have at least requested batch exports before, so I do think the demand is there.

thank you!

Have you reported this bug to customer support for investigation?

The contents of the Share screen is up to the host operating system, we cannot add our own "Save to Files" option on Mac if MacOS doesn't support that. We could probably add a separate Export button though.
