I suggest that our virtual radar instrument at the bottom of the screen does this very well already, but others may have other opinions.

I have to agree. I look at the SD cross section and, occasionally, press the map to see the airspace limits. I can't say I have ever used the feature on my Dynon HDX (as depicted). I know it's there but it's just not as friendly to interpret as SD.

This could be very useful, especially if you're at low altitude, to quickly climb if you have a failure and quickly know how high you can climb without having to make radio contact.
I find it really useful in situations where you have a failure and need to react quickly, for example.

I’d rather keep the main chart clear of clutter that replicates information already displayed.
