Is there a remote antenna available for the Sky Demon GPS unit?

Can't answer that question, but in all my flying I've only ever had the GPS drop out on the odd occasion (with various devices from a number of mobile phones, bluetooth GPS dongles and a cheapo Chinese Sat Nav unit). Not sure an external antenna would be particularly necessary.

No, our Mobile MD GPS unit has the very latest technology for consumer GPS units and does not require an external antenna. It's quite capable of obtaining and locking a fix on a desk in a stone-walled building; a cockpit in an aircraft should post no problem.
