The following NOTAM was filtered for a flight departing Lydd at 08:30 Z

Aerodrome Closed
Until 22 Oct 2024 18:00 Z; SFC+
AD closed due staffing. ••• EGGN/C5877/24
Schedule: 1000-1100,1200-1400,1600-1800

The filter seems to be locked to 30 minutes before to 1:59 after the departure time. I can see the logic in this based on the schedule, but as the NOTAM was valid until 18:00 Z it would be useful if it was displayed, or at least there was an option to widen the default time window.

Of course, the NOTAM was shown for the return flight but I can imagine there are situations where it would be useful to know that closures were NOTAM'd before departing.

Please could you confirm that you had set a takeoff time for the flight (of 08:30 on 22nd October) and the flight routing and therefore duration?

Yes, take-off was set for 8:30Z on 22nd October and the route was EGMD - EGKA direct. I think the duration was about 20 minutes.

I should have mentioned that the NOTAM was visible under the 'Airports' tab but was not shown in the 'briefing' list on the normal view.

Hmm. One of the great benefits of setting a precise takeoff time is that NOTAM are filtered more precisely, so you see fewer irrelevant bulletins. I think a window of 30 minutes before your flight to 2 hours after the flight is due to finish is reasonable. I would be curious what others think.
