Perhaps you could alert customer support to this? We will try to reproduce the failure in the office, and if we can, improve it.

Sharing of data in Android is historically a bit of a mess.

Ok. Thank you for the answer.

Thank you. Unfortunately, two days ago on two new Android gadgets (one tablet, one phone) we couldn't send (share) aircraft profiles to SkyDemon from any other app (again,SkyDemon just wasn't listed in the receiving apps). We tried with different apps such as email client, WhatsApp, web browser, file explorer. For another student with an older Android phone it worked correctly.

It isn't a workaround, that's the way it works. Using the file explorer on mobile devices isn't something that most people are familiar with, so sharing via email, or sometimes even WhatsApp and similar, is how it's done.

Correction. The file explorer on my Android phone doesn't offer the possibility to share an aircraft profile file (located e. g. in the Download folder) with SkyDemon or to send it to SkyDemon. (SkyDemon just isn't listed in the list of apps to which I can send the file.) From the email app or WhatsApp, however, I can send the profile to SkyDemon. So this workaround is working. But maybe adding an import button inside SkyDemon could make things more elegant.

Thank you for the fast answer. This would be a workaround for exporting a profile. However, I still couldn't figure out how to import the profile into Skydemon without having to access the file system. My Android phone doesn't offer the possibility to share an aircraft profile file with SkyDemon or to send it to SkyDemon..

You do this by email, normally. In the aircraft editor you should see tools to share an aircraft.

Hello! It would be good to have the possibility to import and export aircraft profiles directly from the app, without having to copy files to or from the Aircraft folder in the file system. The latter method is unelegant and feels like hacking the system. But most important, on some newer Android phones the folder is not accessable any more to the user.
