That was the reason why I hadn't noticed them before.
I always looked for them in "nice" weather and when they became "colored", I thought they were the borders of the respective GAFOR areas. Thanks again for the clarification! Now I know!

The idea of the GAFOR depiction in SkyDemon is that they light up with their current forecast information. Only in the case where there is no forecast data will they be faint.

GAFOR routes are a life-saving aid! Especially when crossing the Alps and in poor weather conditions.
Unfortunately, these GAFOR routes are difficult to recognise in SkyDemon. They are only visible at all at a single zoom factor (50k) and then only in a light, dashed grey, which is then often obscured by other map symbols (power lines, railway lines etc.). If you select them by holding your finger on them and then selecting them again in the "What's here" window, they become very visible for a short time (yellow-black dashed, moving line), but disappear again after 10 seconds. This time is far too short to plan a route with waypoints or to follow the displayed route. Such a route is often needed when the flight is stressful anyway and is then unfortunately not usable in its current form. Could the SD team please create a selection field in "Terrain and Surface Features" with which the GAFOR routes can be permanently switched on and off and then remain visible in the yellow-black dashed colour up to e.g. 500k until the function is deselected again.
Many thanks for this!

If you select GAFOR in the 'Weather' pop-up they are very obvious!
