If on an active flight plan submitted through SkyDemon, would it be possible to prompt closing of the plan when touching ‘Stop Navigating’ ? If answered Y, the user could be taken straight through to the Manage Flight Plans pop-up.

An individual SkyDemon installation doesn't actually know about the flightplan you filed. I am more tempted to show a prompt if the flight you just completed crossed an international boundary - which of course we do know - but even then, I am worried about annoying people.

Perhaps make it a user selected option to receive a prompt (or not). Seems a good idea to have a prompt to close FPLs..
