It will be helpful that the Rain monitor and the flyable view will be shown in the flightmode movingmap and also in the vertical view. The flyable view is a very good improvement and gives you very goodd safety informations.
I know that the weatherinformations need a mobile connection to the internet, but in higher flightlevel you don‘t have connection. Therefor it can be helpful to show a timer with the last connection to the weather network.

Best regards
Tom

According to the SkyDemon Facebook information this facility is for planning use only (for the next two hours) and so there is no need for it to be updated when airbourne. It's a forecast, not weather radar.

you are right, but the forecast is for most of flights with two hours enough. So it will also helpful in movingmap mode and more details in vertical radar ( Also rain) !

As a forecast product, it is a prediction only. How much the actual conditions agree with the prediction will vary, as is always the case with forecasts. Sometimes it will turn out to be very aligned, sometimes it will not. Attempting to use the forecast as a tactical weather-avoidance tool in flight is asking for trouble and we do not intend to enable the layer in flight for this reason.
