That is correct. No, SkyDemon does not switch automatically between GPS/traffic sources. We display a large banner if connectivity is lost to the device you're using, and you'd have to switch out of, then back into navigation mode using your new preferred device.

I've been using an SE2 with Android tablets for over a year now and it works very well. I have had the tablets drop off the SE2's WiFi network a couple of times but it's been fine in recent months.

It does give a clear warning and it's an easy selection to return to internal GPS. I've not tried reversing the procedure but I guess there would be little problem assuming the SE2 is serviceable.
