Dear fellow pilots,
though the restrictions with COVID-19 came with lot of bad news & impacts to the GA world, a kind of rare opportunity came to us as fellow "small aircraft" aviators: usually blocked/highly congested airspace becomes available, bored ATC tends to happily welcome some VFR traffic to avoid falling asleep.
Flying mostly with some pilot friends, we used the past weekends to do some airspace crossings / exercises in the Frankfurt / EDDF area. While the pilot flying was concentrating on actually flying the plane, it was the co-pilot's job to take care of radio / ATC and to adjust routing as per the received ATC clearances.
I realized it would be a great feature if - working with two iPads - the co-pilot could adjust the "active" routing e.g. on the iPad mounted to the pilots yoke with his own, 2nd iPad. This way, situational awareness of the PIC would be increased and at the same time the "workload" to manage the active routing couldbe taken over by your co-pilot.
What do you think regarding this request? Is this a frequent thing to happen or what is your experience in regards to sharing cockpit responsibilities?
Regards
Patrick

Hello Patrik, have you tried using AirDrop to quickly transfer an amended route from one iOS device to another?
