Hello,

I also miss the sporting areas. For me this is crucial!

Please consider bringing  them back.

We may well bring them back if we get pushback from customers who found them useful.

custardwings, you said in the final paragraph of your penultimate post that you would expect SkyDemon not to show less than the ICAO chart. We removed these areas after confirmation from Avinor that the areas were NOT shown in their charts. Do you disagree with that?

That's very strange since they're still on Avinors charts. https://ais.avinor.no/no/AIP/View/77/aip/EN_ENR_6_6-1_en.pdf?fbclid=IwAR07vHKcqMoSjdgzTRtFqRUPAAn08OsAVD1euRngiRSGF_XcTXVwgDb0z0I

They are definitely needed in the Oslo area, since it's a crowded airspace and lots of clearances are given to keep within our without these areas.

I think Tim is referring to the large printed charts, not the supplements. I haven't found anyone with the 2019 version yet so I haven't been able to verify if they've been removed - although I'd be very surprised if they have, because they are still very much actively used.

Case in point - just yesterday I was flying towards Eggemoen and got the message from Oslo Approach "Paragliding area Sunnvollen is activated". I tried to find it using SkyDemon and it wasn't there - turns out I added pretty much all the removed areas around Oslo as custom data but somehow missed Sunnvollen!! (and a search for Sunnvollen in SD revealed nothing because in true Norwegian style the town in the middle of the AW area is actually spelled Sundvollen) Dammit. For the first time in about 2 years I had to dig out the paper chart, find Sunnvollen, and then refer back to SD to see if my route passed through it (it did). It was a messy few minutes.
