Hi, I'm not able to find the traffic button on my Samsung Galaxy S8. Where can I find the button? Thanks.

There is no button. When you are connected to an external traffic sensing system such as PilotAware or SkyEcho, you will see traffic on the map and also the small "radar screen" will appear on the lower right of your device's screen.
Set up SkyDemon under the Settings menu: "Third Party Devices" and "Navigation Options - Other Traffic". More detailed info in the manual, unsurprisingly.

thanks for your reply.
I understood that there should be an option on smartphones to show a radar screen instead of the moving map.

Ah. From p89 of the Manual:
If you have a smartphone running SkyDemon, the Traffic Radar might not be displayed automatically in the corner of the screen (this depends on the screen size), but instead it can be viewed as a full-screen display, which you might like to use as a complement to the normal map view on your main tablet. To bring up the full-screen Traffic instrument on your phone just open the main navigation menu by tapping the blue SkyDemon icon in the top left-hand corner of the screen, then choose ‘Traffic’.
Although that option isn't appearing in "Simulator" Mode (with spawned traffic) on my Samsung S10.
Presumably because the Traffic Radar is appearing automatically in the lower right.

Presumably because the Traffic Radar is appearing automatically in the lower right. I think it depends on the resolution of the smartphone display. Maybe the display of my S8 is too large. It would be very nice if the full screen radar could be started on every smartphone.

If your data source for traffic is PilotAware Classic or Rosetta you can use their "Radar Screen" to do what I think you want, rather than SkyDemon's. CLICK HERE

We can look at adjusting the threshold where the fullscreen display is allowed instead of the embedded one. What are the dimensions of your phone screen visible area in mm?

What we need it the ability to resize (and freely position) the traffic radar window on the tablet computer. Similar to what can be done with the Direction Indicator "instrument" in SD.
(By implication, that would allow to have the traffic radar fill the entire screen, if somebody wishes to do so on their smaller devices.)

There is some information about the radar screen size & position at the tail end of this PAW thread, which may be helpful.

I would like to use my tablet for the SD moving map and my smartphone for the SD traffic radar. Is there an output of traffic voice alerts on the smartphone? And other voice alerts on the tablet? I guess that there are no bearingless target circles on the traffic radar?
Regards Kai

Regards Kai Also there doesn't really seem to be the need to generate the different voice alerts from different devices. In your scenario where you use your tablet for navigation and show the traffic radar on your phone screen, you could could still have either one of your two devices generate both voice alerts for traffic, and other alerts, e.g., airspace warnings. The warnings will be the same, regardless which device is generating the voice alerts.
So unless you want to route the two types of voice alerts to different end devices (e.g., send traffic warnings via Bluetooth to your audio panel, and send airspace warnings via Bluetooth (or cable) to the pilot's headset only, I can't see the benefit of gnerating voice alerts on both devices at the same time.
Am I missing your point?

SkyDemon voice alerts are available on all iOS and Android devices with speech capability.
Traffic radar does not show bearingless targets.

Traffic radar is only visible either on the main chart (larger devices) or on a separate screen (smaller devices) if SD is receiving data from a traffic detecting device.
If you don't see it at the right hand end of the virtual radar, try touching the SkyDemon icon top left. The pop-up menu should include 'Traffic' as an option,
Best place to test it is in simulation mode.

I tested but whether a radar windows nor a Traffic option appears. Did you spawn any traffic in simulator mode? I forgot to mention that. :-(

The radar window in the virtual radar still does not appear.
Thanks.
