We wouldn't want to show details for such far-away airfields as conditions could be markedly different. Nor do we intend to make this threshold an option; you can always attach additional airfields to your route yourself, whose weather is then reported in the Airfields window at a glance.

The threshold for a nearby airfield isn't very big, and it isn't documented. It's probably 10-15nm.

Thanks Tim,

Appreciate the response and your explanation.

Knowing that the threshold is approx. 10-15 Nm is helpful.

-- Martin.

When flying between airfields that do not publish METAR/TAF information and where the nearest METAR/TAF available is for example 60 NMs from fields and route, is there a way in which details from the "nearest" or preferred can be included (manually or otherwise) in the Weather tab window when planning and flying?

What is the threshold or rule that applies to including METAR/TAF information in the Weather tab window?
