Hi,

Apologies if I've missed it but is there anyway of calling up a list of your waypoints along with the distance and ETA?

On a recent trip to France, I was asked to give an ETA at the FIR boundary by London Information. I couldn't find any way of discovering this information so had to resort to my paper plog.

Steve

The only ETAs I've seen are those to the next way-point and destination. This was discussed with Tim before and I requested (easy said than done perhaps) that a p-log is highly desirable within SD Mobile which would be updated automatically throughout the flight. Items such as waypoints, leg distances, leg fuel, magnetic tracks, ETAs and even sunrise and sunset times would be depicted in a table that the pilot can scroll through, both vertically and horizontally. The advantage of auto-updating these items in-flight is the added bonus over the static paper p-log, leaving the pilot free to focus on other things.

I asked a similar question on an earlier posting and was given the answer that you can tap anywhere on the GPS screen (in your case it would be on the FIR boundary) and ETA will be displayed.  Haven't tried it myself yet as, after much research, I am just about to download SD trial and give it a go on my Chinese GPS.

Tim.
It would seem a desirable function to have a PLOG or "Active Route" in SD Mobile so you can see forward ETAs and perhaps other information in one table.  Possible?

Regards,
Mark

Absolutely. A very important function, even if the tapping move works. During a flight, I would like to tap as little as possible, if I am doing the flying bit, that is! Any more takers?

This is definitely something we're considering, but we don't yet know how it'll fit into the SkyDemon Mobile UI.

I can now confirm that this feature will be in the next version of SkyDemon. We have integrated the route editor with flight statistics to create an "active" view of the route, showing ATA for waypoints you've passed and ETA for all those yet to come.

SkyDemon Mobile still has no knowledge of aircraft performance, planned speed and winds aloft so not all the PLOG parameters will be shown on the screen, however we may well add this information later.
