Can we please have the option to show times as local time rather than UTC within the Log Summary.

I already have Time set to "Local (this machine)" under Setup > Change Units on the iPad but this isn't being used in the logs.

Thanks

Do you mean local time on the device you're using to view the log? Or local time as it was at your point of departure? Or at your point of landing?

I think we purposefully didn't attempt to show log times in "local" because it wasn't at all clear what people would assume "local" meant for logs.

In my opinion, the best time to take is the UTC time. So no confusions evrywhere you fly.
This is only my opinion, and nobody is obliged to share it :-))

Log times under Recent flights are using local time but Log Summary are not, so there’s a bit of inconsistency.

You're right, we should only be using Z time there. We'll get that fixed, thanks.

But why give us the option to choose Local (this machine) in settings and ignore it?

As shown above, local device time is not really helpful when dealing with logs from other timezones or even spanning timezones.

Legally all (written) logs have to be in UTC, although this appears to be widely ignored in the UK.
