I have such a GPS and it works perfect, It is NOT trivial to work with, the EVK IV PRO has the option to search for street adresse, so if you are making areal photo it is great.

Only problem is that i can not download routes from SD as it has som special protocol unfortunately.

This is a very good point PinkLeader. As discussed a few weeks ago in our e-mail, I may have the opportunity to try the new SD instruments in Bagby after 2.00 on Saturday 7th May, weather permitting. I will be trying SD on a 5", 6" and a 7" sets to check which fits in the cockpit better. It would be nice to meet (if you're able) for a cuppa. Initially I seem to think the 5" would fit best and if this is the case I would be very reluctant to split a small screen further.

Lets take care here. There has been much talk and much effort in finding suitable 7" devices. Now there seems to be a move to reduce them in size (effectively) by splitting the screen.

No problem as long as we can also have full screen for individual pages as well.

Well, all is food for thought. However, I must congratulate the SD Team on the editing facility in the forum posts. This is an excellent idea as I have just managed to edit out a spelling error in my post above. Full marks for inventiveness, novelty and efficiency Tim, where to next?

Aha..thanks for the tip, Tim. However,did you mean 3 way screen, to include the profile? HSI+Moving map+flight profile, all in one screen?

So do I, but we couldn't spare resources to develop such a split-screen view until we have our own 7" device, really. Hopefully that will be this year, but it's too early to tell.
