Marc, how many erroneous messages from your hardware per minute do you think it is reasonable for us to ignore before we shut down the connection?

Hi Tim,
it is my experiance that the connection closes once between 15 to 60 minutes.
Why has the connection to be closed? Why not just give a message?
And if you think, that the connection has to be closed, isn't it possible to reconnect automatily?
I would realy love it if you would find a solution. Thank you very much.

Hi Tim,

your hardware

This is not at all a specific of "my hardware". For example, Peer's unit comes from a totally different manufacturer (PowerFLARM)

I'd suggest to keep the window up as long as faulty messages appear. If you get faulty messages for more than x seconds in a row, you can terminate the connection. I'd suggest 5 seconds is good but you should verify that. Several months ago have supplied you with one of our TRX-1500 devices + AIR CONNECT. For testing, this should work well. If it does not or if you wish to get a new AIR Traffic unit, please let me know.

Cheers
Marc

As far as I am aware, we have never observed an erroneous message from any piece of hardware we have been loaned.

I will ask my colleague to perform some long-running tests this week and see if we notice anything.

We haven't observed any erroneous messages on the hardware we have been testing.

The TRX-1500 that you have is among the most robust devices, the new AIR Traffic is even more robust. You will have to test for some time before you get an erroneous message.

At the FLARM portable i'm using it takes sometimes up to 2h before an erroneous messages appears.
But sometimes just 15 mins.
