Hi grateful for assistance. Being new to Skydemon i have tried to upload my GPS both by connecting via desktop RS232 serial interface (COM1) and by my laptop (Win 7) via USB (COM4). Both methods upload route data beautifully placing perfectly listed waypoint data into the appropriate flightplan number.

Home and dry I thought. However activating a flightplan produced no visible tracks but weird vertical routes in a haphazard manner. Has anyone else experienced this and better still how was it remedied.

Many thanks

Richard

Hi,

I have exactly the same problem .Have been in contact with Skydemon and offered to leave my skymap 2 with them to try and sort out. I contacted Bendix King and told me that the 2 is the same as the 3 regards downloads. I am going to mention the problem on the Europa forum ( a lotb of Europas have 3s) some body might have solved it!!

I'm happy to say this problem has been solved and the fix will be in the next SkyDemon release.

I've come across a problem with SD plan on my laptop while trying to upload some saved routes to my Skymap 111C using a USB to serial adaptor and "send to device" in SD.

Sometimes it will work fine so I don't think its a connection problem (8N1 4800bd), but most times it will only upload a portion of the route - usually the first 6 or 7 waypoints. It then gives me the "route successflly uploaded" message, but not all the route is there when you look at it on the 111C.

Anyone else had this and found a way round it ?

(I've also got the SkyComm 1.2b software by Matronics so I'll try doing it that way and uploading the files manually and see if that works, but using SD would be easier)
