A few month ago you wrote :“A VFR autorouting is a strange option that I understand some software offers, whereby the software will decide where you're going with reference to controlled airspace, dangerous airspace and other hazards. In our opinion if a piece of software does that for you, you haven't actually planned your flight at all. We regard it as dangerous and will not be adopting it in SkyDemon.“
I would like to ask you to reconsider this opinion!
It would be incredibly helpful to get at least a suggestion for an optimal route. We once planned a route from Germany to Spain, where we had to fly around hundreds of dangerous airspace, which were very close together, vertical and horizontal. This meant we had to make a big detour. If skydemon offered an autoroute option then you could save a lot of time and money. The responsible pilot will certainly check the route proposed by the software for plausibility, for example on the vertical radar. And you could demand a confirmation from the pilot by clicking.
So please include the autoroute function because most SkyDemon users like to have such a funktion!
