Hi many thanks to however added the ILS geo referenced approach plates to many more uk airfields. Even when we have access to a Garmin 430 or better the added situational awareness that Sky Demon gives is worth its weight in gold.!

It must be me but I do not see these plates. Should these be purchased ? Or activated in a way or another in settings ?
Thanks in advance.

Have you updated SD? You also Need to update your maps! and download the plates separately

All is up-to-date (charts installed 01 feb 2018). For downloading I do no see any reference to Instrument charts.
Eg for EGMC I have following geo plates: control zone & control area, aerodrome.

Ok Found it... in airfields - Settings - Toggle Instrument approach and/or instrument arrival/departure charts.... Strange I have gone through the manual but seems it is not mentionned there or I missed it.

Makes sense. Would be great to have the option to “lock down” the plate for an approach and see full plate/full screen. Should still be able to zoom/pan though. Ideally, charts should be grouped “Arrival”, “Approach (by runway)”, “Departure” and “Airfield” with a special tab for quick/easy switching.

SD goes IFR, clearly the best piece of news for the new season...

You'll be pleased with the direction we gradually take the display of georeferenced IFR plates over the next few versions.

In the new version 3.9.2.109 the procedure IFR waypoints are now in the database, at least for some german airfields that I testet.
T‌hat is wunderful! I agree, that they should only shown on demand, because there are so many of them. Actually I only found them via the search function of SD. Will they also available when I create a new route? If I add a waypoint like DW403 (in EDDW) inside the route dialog, the waypoint is unknown.

That's a good point, the waypoint should probably work inside the create route window. Please liaise with our customer support about this.

Hi,

I cannot see any IFR plates for French airfields atm. Under „Planning Options“, „Show IFR features“ is activated.

What seems to be the problem?

Thanks, rgds,

France has decided to merge all instrument documents into the Textual Information document. Until they publish documents in individual PDFs, as per ICAO guidelines, we cannot support georeferenced IFR documents in France.

In addition to this, it might make sense to add a option at the pilot log to show IFR specific frequencies (ATS, ILS). Not enabled by default (VFR).
