Hi Fellow SD Users,

I've been planning various routes around the South of England for the last 3 days and for every route I plan, it's saying that the wind data is not available for the complete journey. Also, if you select to display wind data, nothing is showing up on the map.

Is any one else having this problem? I'm just wondering if the 'wind data' feed has gone down.

Cheers,

Dom.

Same here. I'm seeing an Amber warning that says 'Wind data is not available for the complete journey.' and the wind speeds are set to zero in PLOG. TAFs and METARS seem OK on the map though.

While I'm at it, could I suggest an enhancement? I was using an existing route which was weathered off a few months ago. The NOTAMS were unusual, only showing multiple ATZ activation notices for the destination. None of the usual NOTAMS were shown on the map. This caused some head scratching until I realized the take-off time was set to last October. Hardly surprising no NOTAMS then. However, it might be a good idea to throw up some kind of warning if the takeoff time is set in the past as it's quite easy to recycle favourite routes and miss this subtle point, particularly as NOTAMS covering the period in past do appear in the briefing.

'Warning, your take-off time is in the past, any NOTAMS issued after that time will not be present in the briefing'

The wind feed is now back up, sorry about the inconvenience. This was due to something on our wind server not coping with the switch to daylight savings time.

We'll do something about the NOTAM validity period when a flight is set in the past.

I'm also seeing some odd blue concentric circles on the chart instead of the wind arrows.

That's the universal wind symbol for "calm" (less than 5 knots).

Would it be possible to have some sort of 'refresh' button that updates all weather/notam information when you press it? (Been looking for mine for a while then figured there wasn't one) Rolleyes

(love the software btw)

I thought it did and then it didn't seem to - but thanks - I will pay more attention Blush

Does it auto update on the mobile version as well if you have 3G or do you have to manually do that?
