Hello again,

Playing around with the software I discovered the following:

When a route is planned through an E airspace, the frequency of the Info service does not appear among the frequencies in the Pilot Log (concretely Langen Information 123.52 in western part of Germany). This is quite an essential frequency (as all other Infos) as you can be mainly on it during x-country flights in this area.

Besides, while planning a flight to Koblenz (EDRK), the Pilot Log shows incorrectly the frequency for AFIS in Koblenz.

Regards,

Milan

SkyDemon does not maintain all frequencies for all airspace, and some of the Class E in Germany will not have their frequencies show up in the PLOG because of this. Currently, this is by design.

If you believe an ATS frequency to be incorrect, please contact us directly. If it's for an airfield published via the AIP we should be updating the frequency automatically; if not, we are often not notified of such changes.

ad Info frequencies - will you consider changing the design to include them?

ad missing AFIS for Koblenz - I think the problem stems from the fact that the German AIP (free as available on eurocontrol website) does not include smaller fields, correct?

in addition to what I wrote above...

A possible solution for the Information frequencies would be not to associate them with Echo airspaces but with the respective FIS regions - anytime the flight would be planned through a FIS region an Information frequency would be added to the Pilot Log (irrespective of the airspaces the flight would go through).

That could be less demanding on maintenance and (hopefully) easier to implement...? Smile

For instance in Germany, there are not that many FIS regions & associated Information frequencies - see German AIP ENR 3.7 (Service Designation = FIS).

What do you think, Tim?

I like the idea. In some countries like the UK and France there are pages in the AIP that define the coordinates of regions (FIS in UK, SIV in France) and give the associated radio info. We can then include these in the PLOG. Germany doesn't appear to work in quite the same way; it looks like where in ENR2.1 it mentions a radio service, you should then lookup the frequency in ENR3.7, is this correct?

now I have to say I don't really know how it is exactly with the frequencies in Germany, France, UK... AIPs

I always looked up the Jeppesen 500 charts for the Information frequencies (alwys in black/while boxes with FIS at the beginning)
