Android (I think from v6 onwards) has a split screen option. For it to work the App has to support this mode. Is it possible to have SD support this ? On a decent sized tablet it could mean that it would be possible to show the Radar3D App (works with Pilot Aware but doesnt have split screen yet) and SD together, or the traffic radar that runs in a browser (Firefox already supports split screen), together. If such a feature would not negatively impact SD I think it might be a beneficial addition to SD. Any comments ?

I haven't tried it in anger, but the functionality seems to work already (Android 7 on Google Pixel XL phone).

Hi,

The Multi-Window Support comes with Android 7.0 Nougat. I tried it with SD and it works perfectly well already.

Great to know. I'd say that the majority of existing devices are on previous versions of Android though, and many will never be upgraded to 7. Might still bring a benefit if easy to do on Android 6.

I don't think Android 6 supports multi window except for a hacked version produced by Samsung.

Not worth doing then I guess.
