Android 3.6.2.19250 on Samsung S3 Galaxy smartphone

Tried the airfield explorer feature and only get a blank screen after a few seconds and the message "Skydemon has stopped working".
Program exits. Repeatable issue.

Can anyone else observe this stated behaviour?

I tried using the Airfield Explorer again on my Samsung S3 smartphone and it still exhibits the reported issue.
By the way, no other SD feature/function appear affected - everything working fine when flying a few days ago.

However, when I run SD on my Nexus tablet the airfield explorer works okay...

I did notice one very minor issue with the Nexus tablet. When viewing the airfield image (from airfield explorer) there is a notice at the bottom warning that the picture may be older than the aeronautical data overlaid. The "-" of the zoom in/out icon is partially covered by the message making zooming a bit tricky.

It works on my Samsung Galaxy S3 with the same SD version. It could depend on the versions of Google Earth/Maps (?) and the Android system?

That is interesting - I will have to investigate further. I always allow auto updating of the apps etc. on my Samsung Galaxy S3 so it is unlikely to be an old version of something.
I just tried it again now for a flight I did yesterday - same thing happens when I "explore" EGMD - Lydd. Even the "report problem to SD" popup is only displayed for 1/2 second and exits completely. Is there anything specific for me to check?

Well, this is strange. Today I have managed to get the airfield explorer to work on my Samsung S3 on perhaps two out of 10 occasions (testing functionality).
It seems to fail where I suspect it is about to display the airfield image.
I have managed to submit a few SD error reports but not sure if they contain any useful information.

Is there anything I can check on my Samsung? I am not aware of any other issues with my phone and the rest of SD works perfectly.
